Yesteryear Collection

Dave Hunt Leisure was founded in 1989 and runs a variety of children's rides and attractions, many through concessions. One of its most popular is the Children's Roundabout at the Montague Centre in Worthing.
The roundabout was originally built in the mid-1960s by Coulson of Ripon, Yorkshire. It first operated on Brighton's West Pier until the pier closed in 1974. It was then moved to the Lower Promenade, where it remained until late 1989, when Dave Hunt Leisure bought it in a badly run-down condition.
After a full restoration, the ride was placed next to Brighton's Palace Pier in the early 1990s, before moving to its current location in Worthing in 1993. It was fully refurbished again in 2009 and now features vintage images of Worthing from the 1960s and 70s, taken from old postcards.
The roundabout is open daily (weather permitting) from 10:00am to 5:00pm.
